Translations
Prices for translations depend on various factors, the rates indicated below are therefore only approximations, and not binding. One of the factors to be taken into account is the source text type. Scientifically challenging texts, for example, may require extensive and time-consuming research in order to ensure a correct and high quality translation. The rates for technical texts are therefore higher than for simple prose or letters.
We calculate our prices based on the German industrial norm for translations, DIN 2345, which determines that a standard line consists of 55 characters incl. spaces. In order to enable us to give you a fixed quotation before carrying out the translation, we calculate the price for the translation of a text based on the number of standard lines in the source text, i.e. in the original text provided by you. Our rates per standard line are as follows:

* all prices plus 19% VAT
A surcharge of 15% applies to over-night translations and other very urgent projects without prior notice, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
In the US, the UK, Ireland, and many other English-speaking countries, prices are often calculated per word. Upon request, we can of course accommodate our international customers and apply a rate per word.
Certified translations
The certification of translations carried out by us are charged at EUR 9.00 per document.
Proof-reading
Proof-reading will be charged at an hourly rate of EUR 55.00.

Correspondence Service
We offer subscription prices for regular customers, who entrust us with their German and/or English correspondence at a continuous basis. One off projects are charged as normal translations, i.e. at the rates per standard line indicated above.
We do NOT have a minimum charge! We are looking forward to working for you, no matter how big or small your project may be. We are happy to carry out short translations of correspondence or emails that are only a few lines long.
